五夫is a smoll town near WuYiShan city...
I knew a website about how many tones the Wuyishan language have ,but I forget the website... sorry ...I will tell you later

and I just wondered that your dad is also a man from Wuyi(North of Fookien)...
so can you speak your mather language?

I know there are 7 tones now in 崇安 and their tone values. The data is also available from FJSQ (http//www.fjsq.giv.cn). I am from Taiwan and my dad came to Taiwan in 1949. I heard him say something about the 8 tones when I was in elementary school. The reason I use English is that it's easier to type.

yeah..that is the web I mentioned.
In TaiWan, which language do you speak with your father or brother daily used? Taiwanese? WuYiShan nativelanguage? Mandarin Chinese? or Enligsh?

I don't know my father's dialect. My dad passed away in 1983. We use Mandarin Chinese daily.
